“We have been members of the Accor Vacation Club for over fifteen years, joining in March 2005, when the AVC was the APVC (Accor Première Vacation Club). Since then we have seen the Club expand with an increasing number of members and properties, both domestic and international, plus cruises with even more travel and dining opportunities through links with Accor Plus and Interval International.
Last year we updated and analysed our record of the costs of our membership and averaged it out on an annual basis. Comparing that average with the incredible holidays we’ve had each year in many superb locations, often in peak periods, we are amazed at the savings made. If we had to pay commercial rates on the open market, it would never have been possible to enjoy those wonderful experiences. At least every second year we have been able to accommodate our children and grandchildren for Christmas holidays and also for other family celebrations. Our membership has allowed us all fifteen of us to be together but in separate apartments, generally with on-site facilities that suit a range of ages and interests and in locations that provide many activity options, whether beach, bush, fine dining, cultural interests, fun parks or whatever.
Our personal motto has become “Adventure before Dementia” – and we are pleased that AVC enables us fulfil this aspiration.”
